Frequently asked questions
What is a Home Concert?
It’s our desire to touch souls with the good news of Jesus Christ by reaching out not only to the church, but also connecting with a hurting world outside the church walls. It starts in our local communities with individuals willing to open up their homes and host a special time of music and ministry with the Bostocks.
They invite their friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members to their home where they’ll feel safe and loved in a non-threatening environment. Each person is asked to bring a food item to share for a time to eat and meet new friends before the concert begins.
What do I do to prepare for a home concert?
Step 1. Make a List
Make a list of the people you want to invite to the concert:
friends, family, neighbors, co-workers. Call them 2 to 3 weeks before event and get their email or mailing address. Send them (email, mail, facebook) the invitation flyer that we create for you and that will include a RSVP request. 1 week prior to event, follow up with those who have not RSVP'd. (Tip: to have 20 people, invite 40).
Step 2. Invite
Invite your guests to bring a finger food or dessert. Provide paper goods and drinks (i.e. water, tea, coffee). Arrange for someone to help you with set-up / clean-up.
Step 3. Parking
Let your neighbors know about the event for parking.
Step 4. Seating
Prior to the Bostocks' arrival, have seating available for the event that will give each guest a good view like a "front row seat" experience. Request help from friends with furniture arrangement if needed.
Step 5. Product
The Bostocks will arrive about 1-1 1/2 hours prior to concert time. Have a space available for the Bostocks' two 4 ft. product tables that will allow your guests the opportunity to make donations and to purchase CD's, DVD's, etc., that are vital for this ministry to continue.
Step 6. Adults Only
Due to space limitations for most concerts, this will be an adults only event to allow for a more intimate experience for every guest.
Step 7. Prayer Cards
As guests arrive, pass out prayer cards and drawing tickets that the Bostocks provide.
Step 8. Information
At the start of the event, greet everyone and explain:
-where the restrooms are
-where to start the food line
-there will be about 30 minutes for the food and fellowship
then the concert will begin
Offer a prayer over the food.
How do I support Blastoff Music Ministries?
Jesus has called us to "...go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."
Now, more than ever before, we need ministries of people doing the work of the
Lord; to share His plan of Salvation for a hopeless, dark generation; "to bind up the
brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the
prisoners." (Isaiah 61:1). "...The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone
to devour." (1 Peter 5:8). Our common enemy is doing everything in his power to keep Christians quiet and to paralyze us from reaching out to the lost. His deceptions can blind even the elect, which is why Paul has warned us to "Resist him, standing firm in the faith..." (1 Peter 5:9).
Together We Are Strong
Becoming a partner with us is saying “I’m gonna stand with you in ministry through prayer and/or financial support!” "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Together we can reach lives for Christ and make a difference in our world!

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20)

What is Mission Vietnam?
Blastoff Music Ministries has been partners with Mission Vietnam because of the redeeming love for the Vietnamese people God has birthed in all of our hearts. Mission Vietnam was formed to bring God’s redeeming power, healing and hope to the hurting people of Vietnam by raising support for:
Churches to be built (some in the poorest areas of Vietnam),
Bicycles for children and adults in need (one of Vietnam’s main modes of transportation),
Support for precious orphans who are being nurtured by families who were former orphans themselves, Blind children and blind communities, Single parents who are single due to the death or hardships of a spouse, Sponsoring youth projects that train and build up their generation through music and education that proclaims the message of the cross of Christ!
Mission Vietnam was founded by Evangelist Dave Roever. Dave was severely burned and injured in the Vietnam War back in 1969. Through Dave’s incredible journey of pain, suffering, anger, feelings of betrayal and hopelessness, God broke through with His redeeming love and brought physical, emotional and spiritual healing that defied reason. The ministry of Mission Vietnam branched out of Dave’s vision to bring the healing power of Jesus to a place that had brought him so much pain.
The mantle was passed on to Dr. Wayne Wright who had served as one of Dave’s ministry board members. Wayne and his wife Joanne are people of integrity and Godly character that lead a team of dedicated people of faith from all across America. This team is comprised of Vietnam veterans, doctors, nurses, farmers, teachers, pastors, software engineers, evangelists, musicians, and videographers. We are people of all walks of life, united for one cause. Each one has experienced the healing and the power of redeeming love that only comes from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
